Information Management Business Analyst

Permanent, full-time position

The Information management Business Analyst has a key role in leveraging CNPS information systems through the effective design of business processes and user experience in compliance with Personal Information Management regulations.
Reporting to the Senior IT and Facilities Manager, the Information Management Business Analyst thoroughly understands CNPS objectives and processes and is actively involved in the planning, deployment and support of CNPS information management applications in a distributed environment (cloud-based and premise-based application).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves a high level of customer satisfaction through careful planning, problem solving, expectations management, and effective relationship development
  • Collaborates with staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by information systems and technology
  • Identifies internal client issues then gathers supporting data, best practices and regulations to recommend process improvements and IT based solutions.
  • Identifies and understands how clients interface with applications and looks for ways to improve user experience
  • Defines metrics to measure service delivery performance
  • Manages the development, implementation, and improvement of IT infrastructure, operations, and services
  • Develops and communicates detailed specifications for system and process implementation
  • Produces reports, timelines and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management and key stakeholders
  • Develops and implements quality-assurance and test plans
  • Ensures proper documentation and performs testing of solutions and system modifications
  • Creates, develops and coordinates system training, materials and other educational tools
  • Leads interactive workshops to improve process and information management
  • Develops and prepares documentation for auditing purposes

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 5 years relevant experience in a similar role and bachelor in the field of Information management (IM), information technology (IT) or Business administration combined with IM or IT training
  • Significant process improvement experience (experience working on wide Lean organizational transformation an asset)
  • Relevant experience with CRM as super user or developer
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • data integration, quality and migration
    • SharePoint Administration/Development
    • gathering business requirements and translating them into IM specifications, business cases or user stories
    • communicating with technical and non technical teams
    • preparing and presenting business cases to management
    • leading project management and change management initiatives
    • handling confidential information
    • participating in audit activities

KEY COMPETENCIES 

  • Lean certification
  • Demonstrated skills in
    • Data mapping
    • Ensuring compliance of business processes with organization policies
    • Basic scripting such as VBA, PHP, Java Script, C++ or Python
    • Communicating (verbal and written) in English
    • Documenting processes
  • Assets
    • Business Systems Analysis Certification
    • Bilingual French and English
    • PMP certification
    • Privacy and security certification
