The Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS) provides legal advice, risk management services, legal assistance and professional liability protection related to nursing practice to over 175,000 eligible Canadian nurses across all Canadian provinces and territories. SCOPE OF POSITION

As a Registration Administrator with the Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS), you will have the opportunity to leverage your administrative experience and training. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional customer service, writing and interpersonal skills. This is a 12-month contract with possibility of permanency or extension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expertly answer customer service inquiries about CNPS services by phone and email;
  • Qualify incoming requests by phone, email, or fax by verifying eligibility, entering data, and forwarding relevant information to legal advisors and staff;
  • Proficiently administer applications and renewals, and process electronic and manual payment;
  • Provide accurate information and assist nurses with the registration process;
  • Prepare and send the appropriate correspondence and registration documents to nurses and staff;
  • Collaborate with CNPS members to improve registration service or administrative processes;
  • Run activity reports to verify the status of incoming registrations and take proactive measures to ensure completion and customer satisfaction;
  • Update and maintain accurate database records. Organize and file hardcopy and electronic information; and
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed certificate or degree in a relevant field such as business administration, accounting, information technology or law or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working in customer service, technical support and/or providing office support;
  • For positions designated as bilingual, Fluent in both official languages (written and oral); and
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment;
  • Able to multi-task and set priorities day-to-day; and
  • Professional, discreet and self-motivated.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

  • Experience or training in managing personal and confidential information;
  • Experience working with health professionals;
  • Experience using databases or customer management systems (Salesforce); and
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Salesforce CRM.

REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

In 2026, CNPS anticipates significant organizational growth. In this context, CNPS offers a competitive, flexible, and attractive total compensation package that reflects the value and strategic impact of its people.

For this position, the annual starting salary range is between $45,000 and $55,000. This range reflects the expected compensation for candidates the level of job requirements and competencies as outlined in this document. Fluently bilingual candidates in both official languages will receive $1000.00 on top of this annual salary range.

This position requires living in or commuting to Ottawa due to CNPS’s hybrid work model.
The total compensation program includes, among other things:

    • participation in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), one of the most advantageous defined benefit pension plans in Canada;
