Frequently Asked Questions: CRNM Registrants
All CRNM registrants will now have access to a new CNPS user portal called MyCNPS from which they can review their CNPS registrations, eligibility periods and receipts.
For ease of use, ARNM members can access their MyCNPS portal directly from within their ARNM membership portal.
Regardless of how you have registered with CNPS in the past (whether via the ARNM or directly with the CNPS), you will need to ensure that you receive a transaction receipt from the CNPS directly. If you do not receive this receipt, you may not have completed the process. Please login to the MyCNPS portal to verify your orders.
To be offered the group rate for CNPS Professional Liability Protection and Core Services at the time of CNPS registration/renewal, you must be a member of the association before proceeding to CNPS registration.
For ease of use, when you are logged into the ARNM membership area, there is a direct link to the MyCNPS registration platform.

If you have pre-paid CNPS fees via ARNM for the 2024 licensure year, your information has already been sent to the CNPS. You therefore will not be required to complete a CNPS registration for the 2024 permit year, and your PLP should be checked off in your CRNM checklist. If you have any questions, please contact us.
No. When you have successfully obtained CNPS professional liability protection, that is automatically communicated to the College. You will be able to check that it has been properly recorded by clicking the synchronization button in the renewal application form.
If you are no longer able to access or you have forgotten the previously used email address, please get in touch with us using our Contact Us form prior to beginning the registration and renewal process.
If you encounter this issue, please contact us.
No, a shared email address will not be accepted by the system as there can only be one user per email address. Please also ensure that you use an individual email address (avoid using generic emails such as info@example.ca) to create your MyCNPS account profile.
While you can access your MyCNPS account and complete registration using a mobile device, we recommend that you use a desktop computer, laptop or tablet for the best user experience. If you are still encountering issues, please email us directly by using our Contact Us form.
If you need assistance with this, please contact us. Nurses need to register with the CNPS for each designation and jurisdiction they hold registration with. The CNPS will endeavor to provide a refund at year-end, for your additional charges.
This is different for the Supplementary Protection program, which is an additional, national offering, that is based on the calendar year and requires one application. You can learn more about the Supplementary Protection program here: www.cnps.ca/supp
If you have not completed your CNPS renewal, you will not be able to complete your registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). CNPS PLP and Core Services is a registration requirement of the CRNM.
