Documentation has always been considered a critical nursing fundamental, but it has taken on increased importance in today’s ever-changing healthcare landscape. Holly Schmid is legal counsel with the Canadian Nurses Protective Society.

Holly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Disability Studies and Sociology from Western University and a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. Following law school, Holly joined a leading civil litigation law firm, representing clients in catastrophic personal injury and medical malpractice claims. At the CNPS, Holly provides risk management and litigation advice to nurses from across the country. Holly is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
